Please Help "BELLA" - posted 3-26-2009
Bella was found living in a truck at a residence. She was seized by authorities, and charges were filed against her owner, who fled. Bella has been taken in by ACSPCA, a division of Upstate Animal Rescue Foundation, of South Carolina. We are in need of donations to cover her medical care. Bella is a 5 year old English Bulldog who weighs only 27 lbs and suffers from untreated mange. You can see the pretty brown hair showing on her face, giving a glimpse to the fur she should be covered in. Poor Bella is literally "skin and bones" right now, with almost no hair at all and her ribs and spine showing due to her serious malnutrition. If you can help, please call PLEASE CALL BANFIELD VET, ANDERSON, SC 864-332-1290 and tell them you would like to contribute towards Bella's care, or you can donate through PAYPAL TO [email protected] (see donations page). Note that your donation is for Bella's medical care. Any donations received in excess of Bella's medical needs will be used for another animal in need with our agency.
PLEASE HELP "FREEDOM"
UPDATE: 2-25-2010: FREEDOM has been released from the Vet and has been adopted by her foster family. Thanks to all who donated to make this possible!
Please help "Freedom," who came to us after being seized due to abuse/neglect. Several months ago, "Freedom" was healthy. When we received her, she suffered from numerous worms and maggots inside her body, infections, possible blindness, emaciation, sores on her body, numerous sores in her mouth, weakness where she can barely lift her head or stand. She was about to be euthanized when we were able to help her. After all she has endured, it seemed to us that we had to try to help her given her will to live. She is a survivor and we have great hopes for her. Today she ate her first bit of baby food, and kept it down. Until now, she has been fed through tubes. She is on anti-biotics, had surgery for her horribly infected abdomen where her uterous was removed, received a lot of pain medication, etc. We have watched her for over a week and she is finally turning the corner! She is not "out of the woods" yet, but she is definitely showing improvement. This girl is only about 3 years old and can live a long, happy life if she can recover. Her eyesight may or may not be restored to some point - more damange suffered due to her maltreatment. Please help with this girls medical expenses! Her bill is approaching $2,000 at this point, so we have a lot to raise . Thank you for any donation you can make! See the donations page for methods of payment, and you can note "FREEDOM" on your payment to ensure your funds are used in her care. If more funds are received than needed for her treatment, the excess will be used in the treatment for another animal in need.
